A Family I’ve Been Photographing Since Before Their Baby

There are few things more fulfilling as a photographer than walking alongside a family as they grow, and this shoot was one of those beautiful full-circle moments!

I’ve been photographing these two since long before their little one was born. From couple sessions filled with laughter and anticipation, to maternity shots and now chasing light with a joyful toddler in tow! Each session feels like a page in their story. And this one? It was pure magic.

We spent a golden evening tucked in a quiet pocket of nature. The light was soft, the breeze gentle, and their love for each other showed up in every frame. Whether it was a tender kiss on the forehead, their little one snuggled (or squirming) in his mama’s arms, or the posed smiles on the tailgate between reminders to look at the camera. Every moment still managed to feel like them: real, playful, and full of love.

Watching their little boy grow into this curious, joyful soul has been the sweetest reward. He’s full of wonder, and seeing the way they all connect with so much ease, laughter, and love, made this session feel like more than just photos. It was a time capsule of a season they’ll never get back, but can always return to.

Getting to document these real, evolving connections over the years reminds me why I love what I do. This family has trusted me with their most treasured milestones, and I’m so grateful to continue telling their story through my lens.
